I think people just enjoy having fun with other members that they like, while posting in the forums they most enjoy, and learn at the same time. Part of what makes this community is the community aspect and not a fear of posting for a reprisal from a moderator, etc. Violations of the rules (ie blatant personal attacks, etc) should definitely be enforced but light-hearted fun in a thread should just be allowed to go with the flow. I understand that moderation is a difficult and often thankless job and I definitely appreciate the work butttt we also want to have a little fun with our fellow CBers is all

Personally, I'm not one for post counts and have some ideas about how we could keep a better feel all while getting rid of the physical number. I'll be the same person with 6 posts or 600,000... my post count isn't something I even keep track of let alone strive to maximize. I understand this is not the case with all members though and it just pertains to me.
