    Default Recycling old phones

I decided to clean out the closet of all my pre BB phones. Motorola phones and old BB easily wipe data. However I have an old LG that has no charger, and 2 Nokia's that do not wipe data (odd but they basically say they factory reset but do not wipe actual data, that is not a user option!) So, do I treat them like a hard drive....smash them with a sledge hammer, and unfortunately put them in the trash? I see no other way to assure identity protection.

I understand how you feel! Maybe you could contact US Cellular and ask them what they recommend. I know my carrier gets people returning and swapping older phones for newer ones all the time - maybe you could give your old phones back and see what the carrier can do with them. Good luck!
