    Question Notifications, which do you check first?

    Curious: You receive a Text message, Tweet notification, Facebook, Email, and a Voicemail notification around the same time. Which do you check first? Go...

    I simply check my main message folder, starting with the oldest from when I hit the sack. The only exception is forum reports, which I'll usually scan first. Everything is grouped by subject, and it all gets directed to that one central hub. No FB or twit, and all others I treat equally.

    Which on the list should I select

    Text messages, they are the most important to me. Facebook and whatnot can always wait. However by the time I get out of bed I usually have a few missed calls too, but they don't take priority over texts.

    Yes the unified inbox seems to work wonders. Plus now I can simply press 'm' to get to it and thus see whatever new notification that just came in...

    E-mail, since most likely it'll be the first thing that's in my inbox. I go by the order of the last message received, regardless of where it came from (bbm/groups, facebook, twitter, sms are seperated in a different inbox) and that's it. I don't usually get too much voicemail and sometimes allot of missed calls, but I try and get back to them.

    GNU/Linux distros of choice: Ubuntu, Mint (or anything based on debian that's still geared towards beginners and isn't too bloated).
