Nooooooo!!!!!
My power has been out all afternoon.
St pattys weekend has been ruined!
My only source of entertainment has been my phones!
But now the batteries are dying!
If this thing dies, I don't know what I'll do!

It's really bad here... A schools roof caved in, and there's fires all over town...
I feel like I live in a 3rd world country ....

It's California, of course you're in a 3rd world country.

Stay safe prada, and keep us updated.

Now's the time to think about a portable storage battery/charger, prada. You can charge it up, plug in a USB cord and charge a couple times off of one.

So sorry to hear about your loss of power. Electricity really is a necessity and that comes home when you lose it and try to go about your day. Hope you get your power back soon!

Still NO power. And now no water either. Because it's contaminated or something.

No water now? Now you are getting closer to a 3rd world country!
It can always be worse man. I think... - 03-14-2010, 12:03 PM #17
TG you arrived alive! In FL we're used to preparing for such events. You'll have a heck of a time by now, but hopefully there's a store nearby with water still. Otherwise, a good outdoor store will have a purification filter you can buy.
Don't know how I thought you were in Cal, but close enough. If you want the US's official 3rd world country, move to Miami.

Isn't the water in New Jersey already contaminated anyway?

Telephone poles are snapped in half. Wires are down. Trees are down everywhere in town. Our town looks like a war zone now
were boiling water too. And the utility co said there's over 150,000 customers in bergen county alone with no power. This is just insane!

Was there a hurricane in New Jersey that somehow went unreported by the media?
