I found out today I got orders to go to Shaw AFB, SC near Sumter, SC. I was getting ready to deploy for my 2nd time in September but no longer. Instead I have to report to Shaw NLT 30 September. I've been here almost 5 years and I thought I would be here forever.
My wife and I are excited about it because we can't stand VA and this base. I haven't really heard good things about Shaw but we will make the best of things. We might look into buying a house if possible but we shall see how things turns out.
