Are you able to stream HD videos with no lag? Because I think it's low amount of ram that's cause the major lag on my pc right now, will test it again when the new set of ram arrives at my door sometime this week.

My current graphics card is the intel 82865g graphics controller, I'm guessing it's way too old to handle heavy media activity?

So I got the 2GB ram today but there's a new problem. RAM fits and everything but it won't boot up. All it's doing is beeping that's all as if it can't handle that amount. Any ideas?

Did you match the ram specs with the ones on the original stock module?

The stock RAM is PC3200 and the new ones are PC2700. I didn't think it mattered whether it's 3200 or 2700 because they both would fit.

Maybe the ram speed or clk isn't correct. It's best to stick with PC3200, if you can return for an exchange for the proper type, it's best to be done.
