I drink coffee in only one way: black espresso (in Italy we also call it "normal coffee"). No sugar, no milk, no other stuffs, just coffee. Two or three cups in the morning, one cup after lunch, rarely one cup at 5pm but I usually prefer earl-grey tea at that hour (definitely the best tea in my opinion).
I remember when I came to America during Summer 2010 and I went to Starbucks: what a huge variety of choice! Espresso, double-espresso, mokaccino, frappuccino... On the other hand, some say: the world is great because of its variety!
Probably what coffee tastes like to you these days, huh? Reminds me of that Jane Fonda line in I believe it was " Klute " back in the seventies: (when she woke up hungover) "Where's the cat?.......... what cat?......... the cat that Sh!t in my mouth!!...
You do realize cognac in your coffee is good when it's warm out as well?
Yeah but a little pricey to be drinking year round (I drink A LOT of coffee) so I like to treat myself at work when it's cold out eh
Otherwise I drink Cognac "neat"

might seem off-kilter but I much prefer hot tea. when I must drink coffee, however, I go out of my way to make it taste as little like coffee as possible
