Yea that is what i tried - I am having a daughter in November and her name is going to be Elika, which is Hebrew. In spirit of my daughter i am going to get a tattoo of her name in hebrew.

That is why i need to make sure 100% that it's correct.

I dont want to get a tattoo of her name and have a conversation go. "This tattoo is my daughter's name in hebrew" and someone that know the dialect say " um nope... that means "private part of mouse"

    follow my drift.

    First off-

    Are you Jewish?

If so- why not just see your Rabbi at which ever Temple you frequent?

No i am not Jewish... so i'm sure your thinking : why did you pick this name?

It means blessed by God. we picked it for the meaning.

well its a beautiful name, i hope you find the correct text.

i seem to remember seeing a site like that a few years ago that could translate (not sure it was 100% correct) into another dialect but i cant remember the address.

Yes, it is a beautiful name- as well as a beautiful meaning.

I miss the good old days when names meant stuff.

Like WTF is Prada supposed to mean?

And why would my mom call me that?

    Seriously.

I would consult a Rabbi, I'm sure they would be happy to help.

Or even a professor or teacher at a college.

I believe that is the correct translation. Remember to read right to left.

If I remember correctly (with some online help), the transliteration of the hebrew letters is:

    alef, lamed, yod, qof, hei.

The pronounciation is al-ly-qha. There's no direct e in hebrew.

    Hope this helps.

That's not to say a Rabbi won't know better.
