Groups or songs you (probably) haven't heard of
Would anybody be interested in a group for sharing songs you like that didn't become a single? It could be from any band either garage or mainstream. Just post some of your favorite songs that didn't top the charts or make it to the radio. Interested?

It's an interesting idea, but PERHAPS this is better for our Off Topic forum. I think it will get more views and responses there.

One of my favorite unknown or little known bands is Love Seed Mama Jump....

Now Everybody's Me by the Dead Milkmen.
Or Stuart.
You know what Stuart, I like you. You're not like all the other people ... here ... in the trailer park. - 05-25-2012, 03:55 PM #4
Early Steve Miller & Boz Scaggs
This album didn't really cut it in 1968, but it is worth noting that Boz Scaggs was a member of the Steve Miller band at the time, and wrote several songs for Steve Miller before becoming the solo artist star that he is.

P.S. I still have this album; bought it in December of 1968, PX at Camp Schmidt, Pleiku, RVN. It's in terrible shape, and no amount of equalizers and what not will rid her of the snap, crackle, and pops, but she's a survivor, just like the Boz...and me.

This is from a PBS program "Three Girls and their Buddy" featuring Shawn Colvin, Patty Griffin, Emmylou Harris and Buddy Miller. This song appears on Shawn Colvins album "These Four Walls" but this live performance really shows of her voice

Backyard Babies are a Swedish punk band. I've seen them live in Cleveland and chatted with them. They were very cool guys who were courteous, articulate and friendly.

Thingy - Big Dumb Animal
Hypnotic. There's only two lines repeated throughout the whole song but it works
You are my life. I cannot live without you by my side. I take care of you as much as you care for me. When we were apart, my world was silent and on stand by. I will never find in anyone else what I have in you! I will never love anything else My Beautiful BlackBerry!!Thanked by:sleepngbear (05-28-2012)

This group was big in Canada, and kinda known in the US, but never really made it big here, although they DID tour with Rush in the early 80ies, that's where I hear them....
