    I've noticed that users often thank each other in a forum post, but neglect to actually press the thanks on the post their referring to.

    I think it's important that everyone use these features of the forums.
    The likes and thanks a person has often influences how credible they are perceived to be.

    Help each other out. Don't just say thanks, click it! If you like a post, click it!

    We all take pride in our profiles, and having these numbers up benefits everyone.

    This is very true and I applaud you for bringing it to the forefront. Some people may not care about these totals but for some of us, it really does mean something.

    Awesome that you bring this up! I like my likes and thanks and give them out as much as possible
    I had it written in my signature bolded, but refrained from putting it when posting from mobile because it seems a litte too pushy :P
