Are you a foodieberry? After spending the weekend at Chicago's sausagefest, enjoying alligator sausage, encased foie gras with curried pear chutney and uncured beef and blue cheese hot dog, I realized I wanted a place to share. This thread is dedicated to all things food.... Share reviews of great restaurants, pics of amazing dishes, chat about crazy delicacies you've tried or just lurk and drool!!!! Come pull up a chair, grab a beer and share. (Pork belly pastrami at pork shoppe, chicago il)
You haven't lived until you have tried a plate of these Spanish Blood sausages....just what the doctor ordered after an evening of drinking, acting the fool, and going home alone with the "orbital blues."
3 free range chicken eggs over easy, a side of fried in salted butter plantains, and 2 real Italian sweet sausage links with fennel makes for a better then sex experience....
Would it be going too far if I said I thought you prefered clams?
Hmmmmm.....clams; could mean dollars, like in "that cost me $800 clams bro'", or nuts/testicles, used in "Off!! Uggghhhhh....I just got it in the clams.", or it could be a drug made with LSD, cotton balls, dipped in jelly.
Yuck....that looks like what someone violently purges from their system after contracting Vibrio Vulnificus from eating anonymous raw clams of questionable cleanliness and suspicious history.

All this talk about clams got me thinking, why not just buy a few pounds of these bivalved mollusks and make one of my fave dishes, linguini with white clam sauce. While the temptation was there, to split these puppies and suck out the middle , cooking them in fresh chopped garlic, EVOO, homemade chicken stock, and a dry white wine was more the desired route, especially when served over spinach linguini.
Awesome selection of beers, with some very odd pricing. I'd recommend them for everything but the cow. Grass fed and locally raised, they appear to receive far too much exercise.
