An 8.8 earthquake hit Chile, news say it was 64 times stornger than Haiti's but not as deep. Wow, Sri Lanka, El Salvador, Haiti, Chile. Hope we are not next here in California

I heard that it was 500 times (or 5000 times ) stronger. Also had a 6.9 aftershock which is what hit Haiti. Tsunami waring for all of the west coast. A reported 130' high wave heading for Hawaii. Coastal areas of Easter Island are being evacuated.

I just saw a small piece on the news about it. Aftershocks reached antarctica. Crazy.

Tsunami warning in Hawaii, sirens just went off to wake everyone up. Police are going to start evacuating people that live near the beaches. I'm in the clear I live near the beach but far away enough that I don't need to evacuated, the main highway I drive on everyday will be close in a couple hours. I'm sweating like a hog.

Looks like the west coast is fine. Hope the people of Chile get the help they need.
