I have a Vizio 22" HD TV that I have been using as a dual monitor for my laptop for the past year. I always had it set to the extend desktop mode, and it worked just fine. However, I recently got a new laptop (Fujitsu Lifebook tablet), and it no longer works correctly. I can set it to extend my desktop just fine, but whenver it logs off, hibernates, restarts, etc it always reverts to the old settings (the external monitor sets itself to clone mode where it mirrors my other monitor). I have changed the display settings in both Windows display properites and Intel's Chipset software, and it always reverts to clone mode. I am running Windows XP with an Intel(R) Series 4 Chipset video card. I have also tried updating the drivers for the card. Any ideas?
