I just got a new Toshiba LCD TV and hooked up my xbox via HDMI. I plan on getting a 5.1 system soon. My question is, can i use the digital audio out on my TV to get 5.1 from my xbox? or do i have to connect it directly from the xbox?
Under audio setup, it gives me the option: HDMI 1 audio <auto, analog, or digital> is it safe to assume the hdmi in will give the TV a 5.1 signal?
