Just got back from voting a little bit ago. Two districts at my polling place, my line was short, the other was long. Now to put the house phone off the hook so I can get some sleep before work tonight...five election related phone calls yesterday, I wanted to shoot the phone!!!

Was the 62nd person in my township to vote. The line was horrible when I got there, was behind one guy, cost me an extra minute or so...
The system they use here involves a paper ballot where you connect the front to the back of an arrow with a marker for each selection. The ballot then gets fed into an optical scanner which also secures the hardcopy of the ballot incase a recount is needed.
To me that seems like the best system. I don't like any system that does not leave a physical hardcopy of everyones ballot incase of recounts. Just no good way to do it with the paperless ones.

Sitting in line now. When I got here they told me it would be about 90 minutes. The way the line is moving I should be done in half that time. Big kudos to the folks here organizing this. Much better than my last few experiences.

Just voted in Ohio. 70 minute wait. Longest line I have ever seen. I hope the casino goes through.

I voted this morning in Ohio. I waited 55 min and it took me about 5 minutes to actually vote so from the time i got in line to the time i stepped outside it was 59 minutes.
I hope the casino goes through too!! Even though it's about 3 hours from where I live, and it's still closer for me to drive to Detroit, it opens the door for more casinos to open.
OH! And for the Starbucks thing, I went to get it with my roomie (we went together to vote) and we hate starbucks plain regular coffee. Even a free cup didn't taste better. Too bad
