I cannot reveal my source but I have heard a rumor that BlackBerry is in discussion with Apple to make a Priv2 if the Android based Priv flops.

Apparently it will have a built in trackball, and to differentiate itself from the iPhone they are considering running an embedded version of the classic apple os made for mobile, with a built in hub.

This is a poorly rendered mock-up of the planned layout of the hardware - although the trackball will be much smaller.

I confirm from my source that OP is correct ...except for one minor detail: The track pad will be exactly the size shown in OP's mock-up picture, and there will be an option to get a joy-stick instead of the track-pad
