I know its going to be different depending on your region and what not. But I am looking at buying a new truck and I don't think it will be happening due insanely outrageous premiums. The cheapest quotation was about $100 more then a monthly lease.

I hate getting ***-raped by insurance, and for what reason? NONE at all.

Anyways enough of my complaining -
I got quoted 6000$-7000/yr for an 08 dodge ram 1500

    Anyone else care to share?

Wow, that's really, really high. Part of it might be your age, which unfortunately is just how it works. But even if you get high levels of coverage, those premiums are crazy.

Not that I'm an expert or anything. Good luck!

The first time I paid insurance I had to pay $1634 becos I was first time new car owner, under 25 and less than 2 yrs driving experience etc.tht was for comprehensive insurance.
    Now I pay $125. 3rd party insurance.

Would be buying a new vehicle soon and insurance is abt 10% of vehicle prices so am screwed again.
