I'm a big fan of Westerns and such (among many others), particularly Clint Eastwood. For a modern one, I must say that this one was very impressive. Both Harris and Mortensen were pretty damn incredible, in my opinion...

I thought the story was a little bland. Acting wasn't that great. Once I noticed that Ed Harris directed, I said 'well, there's the excuse for that aspect'.

    Was not impressed.

I thought it was great. Although, "Silverado" was one of my favorite westerns along with "Unforgiven." "Appaloosa" was not on par with those two films by any stretch, but that does not take away from it.

The movie was OK, but liked the book better. The author's name is Robert Parker. Movie--3 stars--book--4 stars.

I also thought it was ok...really wanted to see it when it first hit theaters...but now I'm glad I didn't spend the $20+.

I am watching the movie again right now. I still think it is an overall great western.
