Since we're talking about shows we miss, I've got 4 words for y'all...
"The Greatest American Hero".
*sings*
"Believe it or not, I’m walking on air.
I never thought I could feel so free.
Flying away on a wing and a prayer.
Who could it be?
Believe it or not it’s just me.
It’s like a light of a new day,
It came from out of the blue.
Breaking me out of the spell I was in,
Making all of my wishes come true.
Believe it or not, I’m walking on air.
I never thought I could feel so free.
Flying away on a wing and a prayer.
Who could it be? Believe it or not it’s just me."
Okay, so I didn't know this one -- for a variety of reasons -- but, being the good researcher I am, I discovered lots of interesting things, especially its early place in broadcast history! Thanks for sharing "The Queen's Messenger" with us, pkcable.
Here's one for y'all. I loved this show. Anybody?

I only got it because I recognized a VERY young Mark Harmon, and did a google search on him, and found out that in 1979 he started in a show called 240-Robert!

Yup! I watch him now on NCIS and often find myself thinking back to first seeing him on TV in this show. It was a blast: daring rescues, helicopters, drama while SCUBA diving...it had it all!
This thread's been full of great blasts from the past.
pk: You know, I'd always heard of "Kukla, Fran, and Ollie", but had never seen it. Thanks for cluing me in!
1_2M: Oh, most definitely...."Silver Spoons" was awesome! I always wanted a train like they had! And, of course, who couldn't enjoy a young Alfonso Ribeiro in his pre-"Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" days?
Ohhh, and Erin Gray....I had such a crush on her from this show AND from "Buck Rogers"!
