But yeah, as much i as hate anderson silva i have so much respect admiration for him and his training camp/style i wanted dan to kick his *** but...............there is a reason why anderson silva is considered the best pound for pound fighter in the world.

I pretty much watch every episode of TUF, WEC and UFC pay-per-views.

Although i find myself only watching the last 20 minutes of TUF now days. Just when the fight is about to start. I'm kind of tired of all the drama that goes on in the house.

I hope GSP punishes Serra for a while before he makes him tap.

I'm a huge UFC/ MMA fan! George St. Pierre is one of my favorite fighters. I think his rematch with Serra with be completely different this time around. St. Pierre is just as deadly on the ground now as he is on his feet. Did you see how he absolutely manhandled wrestling expert Matt Hughes? He dominated that last fight! It was a clinic he put on, and the sub at the end was a huge statement.

As for Anderson Silva, no one can stop him right now. There are rumors floating around that he may be dropping to 170 after a few more fights at 185. Silva himself has hinted in his last post fight press conference that he would like to change weight classes eventually, either going to 205 or 185. I hope he does because there's just no competition for him at 170. He's gonna wreck Yushin Okami in his next fight.

By the way, I was at the Silva vs. Henderson fight in Ohio

    Yushin Okami vs. Evan Tanner

Dan Henderson vs. Anderson Silva, moments before Dan's bad night started.

Meeting Urijah Faber in the airport on the flight back to Tampa. He was very cool and actually talked about his upcoming fight with us. We chatted for about 10 minutes before we had to board.

HOLY **** MAN!!! thats awesome, Urijah is an amazing athlete but i just want a full 5 round war with Jens in his next fight. I wish UFC would actually come around and bring a UFC event to chicago. I know some of the other MMA organizations are having one in the Sears Centre in hoffman estates which is like....10min from my house. GSP will dominate Serra. Anderson Silva would do really good in the lower weight class but......going up? i dunno with such names as Rampage, Chuck, shogun........the other silva. Plus big up and comers like Machida, thiago silva.....dare i say rashad evans.....(he still needs alot of experience) would give him a really hard time.......

THANKS FOR THE COMMENTS ON THIS THREAD!!! i kept seeing all the other sport threads and i felt lonely without any MMA threads. I'll be taking some BJJ classes this summer after my friends wedding. that way i'll keep myself busy cuz i can get bored pretty quickly

    underarmour,

Yeah Faber was really cool in person. He told us about the gym he owns in Cali. We actually sat two rows behind him on the plane. He was in Tampa the day after the UFC pay per view we attended. Faber had a friend fighting in an MMA event at the St. Pete Times Forum, and Faber was working in his corner.

As far as Silva is concerned, I think he would wipe out the 170 lb. division just like he's doing now at 185. After doing so, I'd like to see him fight at 205 like he's thinking about doing one day. A lot of people forget that Silva is naturally a pretty big guy. He cuts weight to make 185, but walks around at 210-215 lbs natural weight. He's got superb striking, and he can take big punches and kicks and not be phased. I've seen him get hit with big blows before and not get rocked. He definitely has the chin to fight 205 in my opinion.

I love this thread! Glad to see we finally have an MMA forum on Crackberry

Hey vision, im about to enroll in some BJJ classes, i found 2 seperate camps by me, one in palatine and another on in Crystal Lake, IL the palatine one is called FLomma and is where Terry Martin and according to the site, Shonie Carter trains. I'm actually nervous about it but i read a saying at a local coffee shop that said "if you dont ever take a chance...you'll never have a chance"

you should definitely go for it

i never did any martial arts in my life.... well except a lil karate when i was 8... but that lasted only a few months before i got bored.

After that my entire life i wanted to get into it but always felt like i was too "old"... mind you im only 27 right now.. but when i was 14 i had friends who were already black belts in TKD... so i always felt like eh, its too late for me to start new.

I got married last year and just felt like i wanted to get into something... and i felt nervous about it too, but I signed up and i LOVE it.
Only thing I regret is not getting into it earlier.

Before I signed up i just went to watch at a few schools and it's people from all walks of life... garbage men, firefighters, doctors, students...
and of all ages... from 14 to guys in their 40s.... and guys of all sizes.
    135lbs to guys 300lbs.

You should definitely go for it. It's lots of fun.
It's a great challenge if you love the competition...
and its great exercise if you're just looking to get in shape.

I currently train at Serra's school in East Meadow, NY.
(hears all the boos n the background) lol
And it's awesome that you train with some guys from the UFC.
I see Pete Sell there, Luke Cummo, George Sotoropulous, and the Serra bros.
Sometimes you get guys from other camps, like American Top Team or wherever, and they come train for a week if they're away from home.

So what do you guys think of this season of the Ultimate Fighter? i think the way to get into the home is better than last time. over the past 3 seasons i've seen. I cant stand how some of those guys have such.......****ty views on the whole house experience. **** if i knew that this was almost a sure shot way of gettin into one of the greatest MMA organizations of all times i would go through those 6 weeks of **** anytime. YOu have 2 of the top fighters training you, giving you tips and advice on how they train to get into top shape to win. That sounds like a sweet deal to me. PLUS THEY LIVE IN A MANSION!!!!!!!!!!! but oh well. last weeks episode was awesome i think i might be laughing my *** of f all season with Rampages humor and Griffins awesome attitude....next episode is on in ........24 min, yahoo!!!!!!!!1

I think Houston Alexander is on his way out the door with he UFC. He'll get one more fight before being sent off to WEC. The man is STRONG, but he also has a glass chin. Even in that first win against Jardine Houston got rocked big time and almost lost the fight. I really don't see him fighting long term in the UFC. And his fight against Irvin was hilarious. We had 4 people watching the fights that evening and all of us missed Houston getting knocked out! We all got up to get pizza just as the fight was starting, heard Rogan and Goldberg go crazy, and next thing we see is Houston on his back. Four sets of eyeballs and nobody saw the fight lol. Irvin going gangsta with the gun at the end too was pretty funny.

hahaha, yeah i was very pumped for his fight against Thiago Silva last year. i'll admit i was a sucker for the hype and was like "did you see him knock the white out off jardine!!!!?????!!!" HE IS SO INLINE FOR A TITLE SHOT" well.........seeing his almost non existant take down defense i was like......."oh snap.........he needs alot of help" then he lost to Irvin, and like a lot of people i was reaching in my cooler for a fresh cold beer grabbed a burger and BAM!!!!!!!! its over i had to search online to see the whole fight........glass chin? more like china glass chin.........god he needs alot of work. Houston was kinda giving the chuck liddell excuse of "i was never out!!!" well, when you go back and look at the tapes........arms go limp? Check. Eyes roll back? Check......1+1= KNOCK THE F*CK OUT!!!!!!!!!!

    great night of fights...

but what was up with Kalib Starnes not wanting to fight!?
Quarry chasing him down with the ****** hammer fist and Kalib STILL backpedaling has to be the most embarrassing moment in MMA history.

They should implement the yellow card like they had in Pride.
