Ok so I'm 24 and about to pass my test next week, now I've been riding motorbikes for 6 years so have great road safety.

Now I'm on a budget of 1000 and I really don't mind what car it is, but the cheap popular cars cost more for example a corsa costs 1500 where a 10 year old m series will cost 500/600 ?

The problem is insurance, the black box method does bring price down reasonable but limits me to 3000 miles a year?

Does anyone know the best way to get me insured on a BMW for 1000 or less?

    Thanks all

Can't really help here (taking lessons myself) but I'd avoid a BM until you get a few years no claims, it will definitely help your insurance go down on price

Stay away from bmw, Mercedes or any other higher insurance bracket cars. Due to your age, it will be a pocket killer.

Why not go for a nice fiesta or auris or if you want a sporty feel the swift?

Go to auctions, check gumtree. Good luck.
