Playbook motherboard schematics?

Hello All,

Any one tried to hw hack the playbook? Any schematics available ..... jtag to read the rom chip on board with the boot loader?

thank you for your time godsend85, i've had a look and spoken to xsacha and seems the bootloader is in a ROM on the OMAP processor itself.

Does anyone know if it would be possible to swap out the memory chip on a 16gb from a non-booting/5 blink 32gb, provided the right tools and skills were available or is there something on the OMAP that has the size "hard-wired"?

As I recall, the memory is tightly bonded to the underside of the CPU, or vice versa. If that's true, you don't have the right tools or skills. Nobody here does. ;-)

vice versa, but its ram top bonded to a 4430, the mem is down board a little , but today's electronics are Ball Grid Aray bonded (solder balls, generally 200 to 1500+ balls)
