Default [HOW-TO] Start to finish root, install android market

Ok everybod. I know people have been having issues at the last step on dingleberry ( to get root access) I've been on IRC and I have found out how to do it if you are having issues.

here goes:

Make sure your playbook is registered for os 2.0 here : https://bdsc.webapps.blackberry.com/...et20/register/

1. Backup your playbook if you need too
2. Disconnect it from the pc. Power it off.
3. Open up your desktop manager. Plug in your playbook.
4. A message will come up about problems connecting. Restore you playbook to the latest firmware. (dont worry, 2.0 is still jailbreakable)
5. Follow the instrustions on your playbook. it should be setting you up as a brand spanking new playbook.
6. Connect to Wifi, it should ask you to update to software 2.0.
7. When you have completed the setup and are at the playbook desktop you are ready to use dingleberry.
8. Download dingleberry at: Dingleberry jailbreak
9. Follow the instructions within dingleberry. After your playbook has been restored and restarted, WAIT FOR Blackberry Desktop Software to detect your playbook. After it is connected, EXIT Desktop manager.
10. Return to dingleberry. at the top (above the playbook picture) click Dingle SSH.
11. Click connect.
12. You should get a command prompt window simply with a '#' character.
13. download winSCP : Downloading winscp435setup.exe :: WinSCP
14. Install it.
15. In your start menu go to winSCP/keytools/puttyGEN

THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS {} ARE FROM: PHXchocho . GO thank him! here:
WinSCP settings for 2.1+ Dingleberry
{
16. Open PuTTYgen
17. Click on Load
18. Next to file name, make sure you set it to view all files All files (*.*)
19. Select "rsa" from Dingleberry folder (not rsa.pub)
20. Click OK
21. Click on Save Private Key
22. Click Yes on next prompt
23. Save as playbook.ppk or whatever you want.

24. Now open winSCP
25. Use these settings : Imagebin - A place to slap up your images.
MAKE SURE THE FILE PROTOCOL IS SCP AND NOT SFTP
}

The FOLLOWING IS THANKS TO : teostar ! Thank him here!

Looks good - I wish this was available when I installed the marketplace last night.

One small issue I had when copying the system folder from google apps (step 34) was that WinSCP couldn't see it even though it was there. I just moved it to my desktop and, voila, WinSCP could see it from there. Weird but it worked.

Default Blocking Update

Once Android is installed and the tablet rooted (reverse order...) is there an easy and safe way to BLOCK blackberry update so that they do not push an OTA that remove all of this nice hacked stuff...

I can't copy the system folder to the root-I get a permission error, and the system folder? in the pb root has a red mark in lower left hand corner. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks

Actually there isn't a folder in the PB root named system-just a red-marked file--and I can't copy the system folder I downloaded per instructions into the root of the pb-access denied. Help?

I hope there will be eventually! There will probably be some way, its just a matter of blocking whatever file searches for the update or faking the playbook into thinking its always at the latest version.
