    Default Help Playbook in distress

    Hello I'm new to the forum and have a big problem with my playbook. It was rooted and every attempt to install Android failed with a hung launcher under V2 beta. However thats not the big problem at this point. The problem is [2032] error. I cannot connect to buy any programs. I get a [2032] cannot connect to server error. If I try to download a free app I get a bad certificate error but can accept and it will download. If I try to check for new software via update I get a [2032] cannot connect to update server error. If I try to restore from backup I get a password error but the password is correct. And worse if I try to just reinstall base software via Desktop software it progress for about 1 hour then fails. So I cannot install base software. Cannot buy programs and cannot restore backups. Help

    When trying Software updates from the Playbook I get "There was an error connecting to the update server. Please try again later. (2032)"
    Does anyone know what this means?
    I know its not a connection issue on my side because I can in the same session download a free app and install it, just not paid ones.
    My experience with the RIM support is that they are worthless and know less than I do. So that make all this dangerous.

    turn off pb,

    start bbdm,

    plug in pb turned off,

    wait for dm to detect,

    update if needed.

    if that doesn't help, hold power and volume up till it restarts.

    I have tried that but when installing V1.0.8.6067 it fails everytime or gives that error message of a failure. Currently its running V1.0.8.6067 and still rooted. However the above mentioned issues remain. Does a security wipe differ from a OS update? That's the only thing I have not done.

    If you have your files saved a security wipe, debrick might be the only option you have. Yes a wipe is different than an update whereas it doesn't back anything up and takes it back to factory condition.

    @sushistew & @kbz1960 - Thanks for your suggestions.
    Well a security wipe was the only solution.
    So lesson learned when you jailbreak you do risk an eventual security wipe.
    Biggest problem is that no backups from before the wipe work.
    So it will be a long arduous journey for recovery.

    Yep, sucks sometimes but I guess we take the chance by doing those things.
