Flashing New Playbook
So I have this Playbook for almost a month now but I can't use it since it always failed to update from the initial settings. Then I learned from here that it's possible to flash firmware to the Playbook. Can anybody teach me how step by step? Thank you in advance. I am really excited to use my Playbook.

Probably, like me, the service centre is on the other side of Earth and it costs more to send it there than it cost to get the Playbook in the first place.

Since 4ncientek has only posted 27 ... isn't a good old "debrick" method a #1 recommendation ?
To debrick:
1. Shut down full (and unplug if USB connected) your PB (hold the power bton about 15 secs until full black, leave the icons alone)
2. Start Desktop Software manager (don't have it : BlackBerry - BlackBerry Desktop Software - BlackBerry Software at BlackBerry.com)
3. Plug your PB on USB. DM should state "can't connect to device" and offer a "repair" button. Hit it and follow instructions.
Worse a try before ?"I speak English like a Spanish Cow"
