Since i lost my wifi after cfp flash from stock to 2.0.0.4869 os i was wondering if a downgrade is possible the same way.

i should have flashed 1.0.8 that would have prevented the wifi lost i think...

well its too late for that

Is there a way to go back with a non activated pb? (even with activated one should be difficult since 1.0.8 is not the recent os and desktop manager would load 385)

Im trying to find a way to activate and use it!

what are my options? (root doesnt matter anymore)

im downloading and installing 2.0.1.385 lets se if wifi comes back!

maybe some day it will be rootable...

but only thing i wanted was usb host but thats not to bad.

if this works ill dowgrade the android loader and read up on sideloading.

so for now i just dont update to 2.1 once its out

Gee. How are you updating to 1.385? CFP? Well it will be the same as flashing 4169 or anything else.

Why not try 1.0.8.6067 theory first. Once you upgrade past 0.7971 you can never go back.

well its over i did it...

i thought i couldnt go back from 4869 by simply flashing to 1.0.8

but its not that bad...

usb storage is not that important it gets uncool when someone comes up with cool stuff for rootet playbooks.

but one last question!

i updated with the desktop tool.

if i flash the same firmware again will it prevent auto update?

because i can live without usb host! and android market (does it work well?)

but i want to be able to sideload!

but i think its def worth the 190€ also without root.

i need to check whats possible with sideload but thats pretty much the only thing i need.
because the only thing i dont like so far is the app world

Well I had the same problem when flashing the new play book. What i did was downgraded to o/s 1 using cfp waited till it get to the wifi screen ..enter the setting and it will prompt the update and switched it off. Flashed it with 4869 ...Then it will not prompt for anything as it has all the setting including wifi. It will start downloading the o/s. After that within last 10 second ran the command. you shold have done that mate! probably should have listened to xsacha like me

well you are alwys smarter afterwards...

but so far im happy and dont see the big benifit in rooting.

since this device doesnt have such a big following like say apple or psp. i think the homebrew will sadly not be pushed forward like on mentioned divices.

and since all this dingleberry roumors i think its fine to keep the pb as long as i can sideload...

But i have to say i would feel better if i had rooted it because i know o cant auto update if rooted.

all other benifits i would not have use for except android market of course...

well it went wrong but should i return it? im still thinking about it...

it was forced to go wrong im always inpatient ans have bad luck in addition to that.
