Now that the youtube app is no longer supported and can't play videos anymore how do you get your youtube fix on the playbook? the browser also doesn't work properly /no controls/

I use the Origami browser or Fast Browser, both still work with YouTube.

Will try the origami route, but for the life of me I can't get youtube to open the mobile version of the site -.-

In Origami settings, pick iPad as the mobile user agent. Then in the main browser view, switch off desktop mode before you try to load Youtube.

If you want, you can also make your current settings the default (so, each time you open the browser, it would be in mobile mode with the user agent you specify. You can add other settings like ad blocking, too.)

I know I've been using origimai for some time now, but wit kindle fire as my agent and still loaded the desktop site :/ will check it out how it handles with the ipad agent tonight.

K. If you have mobile enabled (ie. desktop mode turned off), the mobile flavour of Youtube should always load.

If you can't get it to work, Tubemate is another option; it always presents the mobile version by default, though you must sideload the app.
