I was looking at the companies that RIM acquired in 2009(Torch Mobile, Dash Navigation). Dash Navigation introduce the Dash Express, the first two-way Internet-connected GPS navigation system in 2009. It won "Best of CES" awards from both CNET and LAPTOP Magazine. Could we see this on Blackberry 10? Blackberry maps on my current phone (the Blackberry Storm 9530) is painful to use sometime.
You do realize that the Dash stuff was used to make up the guts of Blackberry Traffic? Which at current release is a pretty good turn-by-turn navigation app (certain stuff needs work, the address lookup is painful but the actual navigation parts are solid) I would be shocked if Blackberry Traffic doesn't appear on BB10

I know that, But will it make the move to Playbook/Blackberry 10 with a new HTML 5 or C++ Interface.
(Off topic) Do we know if the new os will have a Java run time?
To use the playbook as a turn by turn fully fledged satnav would be amazing, ive used Google Navigation on my Galaxy S2 and its fantastic and has never let me down, but OMG on the Playbook would be the Ultimate.

Version 6.03 works ok on the playbook via bridge or tether. There is an option in ib the labs section for caching the maps
I've been saying since the Playbook came out, that they should port BB Traffic and include integration with BB Maps. The turn-by-turn is awesome in BB Traffic, but sometimes it's nice to actually see the map too. Can't wait to see what they do with BB10!
I would hope that when BB10 phones get here that all of the Blackberry built apps (Traffic, Travel, etc.) will be available. they definitely need a map based GPS app too as I dont see Google making an app, and they need one that doesn't require a data connection too.
