Default [update] Maxthon Web Browser for Playbook 2.6.5

Version 2.6.5, released May 10, seems to be improved. Since I never tested it before, I think it might be an interesting alternative for certain Web sites that requires non webkit engines.
Over the years the software has evolved to board the Trident rendering engine, developed by Microsoft, but also integrated Webkit Safari or Chrome. He is now available playbook.
So far I've just browsed some pages (Facebook) and the overall perf is quite good (not as good as native, but really fair).

Check it out and share your thoughts : Maxthon Web Browser for BlackBerry PlayBook - BlackBerry App World !

    Anyone else using this browser?

It seems to be getting good reviews. Might try it out actually.

I use it for PC. In the office, at home, on my laptop... I just can't get into the PlayBook version as much as I'd love to!

I tried it yesterday. Given it's an emulated android app it is much slower than the native browser unfortunately.

Strange, that is not my experience with the Maxthon 2.65. It is fast and efficient. It gives me a full browser experience. I think it has a lot to do with the Internet speed for a good user experience.

After Maxthon 2.6.3, I will not use the native Browser ever again.

You don't even know it is an Android app. Just go to App World. Search "Maxthon". Click and use in secs.

The mobile version and the PC version of Maxthon are very nice. I like the Skynote that I can pass back and fore.

I see, Maxthon is a gateway to a lot of HTML5 apps coming in the future. It really opens a big window for the Playbook.

If you want to go faster, select a browser that does not load the ads. The saving is enormous. One such browser is SimpleBrowser (I don't remember if the adblocking comes with the free or the paying version though)
