    Does the playbook have any "today" screen apps or some kind of dashboard app that can be a one-stop-shop for information i deem critical. For instance, a single screen with multiple widgets for: Weather, Stocks, Events today, new emails, twitter feed, system info (memory, etc.).

    My goal is to just pick up my playbook and look at everything I need in a single glance and go about my day.

    Thoughts? Does something like this exist?

    You will basically have that when BB10 is released. Your main apps will be active and you will be able to see everything on the main dock. Everything you listed.
