Just had the latest update to this app today, and it now includes the addition of a YouTube downloader (which basically opens a web link to download the video) but it works superbly well. I was using the side loaded version of Tubemate to download youtube music and videos but that just hangs and freezes these days, but stereotube is way better all round
Highly recommend this for anyone who wants a great music player that you can create loads of different playlists with and watch videos and download them too. I left feedback for the developer and he even mailed me back to say thanks :-)

The interface is still jerky and clumsy. Hopefully he will be fixing it soon.

I recently sideloaded the tubemate and I have to say it's not the fastest or best app I have sideloaded. Maybe it was the .bar file I used but the app is very slow (I have quite fast internet in home), it slows PB's performance considerably and once I tried to download three videos at the same time it crashed my PB altogether. I will give stereotube a try (as long as it's free)

I think the best method I have seen so far is the one suggested by PatrickMJS in Can anyone recommend a YouTube downloader app?. Free, fast, does not slow down the PB. Only downside is limited to 3 downloads per day (but I may be wrong on the last one).

You can choose and it will send you to which ever web page will allow you to download the whole video or just the mp3. This really is a great app and I highly recommend it! The developer is awesome too and should have our support so he'll develop for BB10!
