hey guys. i already emailed the ceo's yesterday but i am hoping CRACK BERRY will make an official news article about this petition and the email campaign that was run.
If we were able to get the other Mobile Nations members reading the article, it would definitively increase awareness.

there's gotta be an android video chat that works?
I believe they cannot gain access to the mic and camera. There are other ways to video chat and they can be found by a quick search. I use Tango and most of my family does the same. There is a Tango thread in here with a link to the feature request site @ Tango. If you haven't voted and/or commented you should, we are only about 40 votes from the top of the list.
i just downloaded Escape PRO for the Playbook. It is a Skype messaging and Skype voice chat app. It integrates nicely with your Skype contacts list and works! There are a few bugs/issues, and it is not as smooth as one would hope yet. Though the app is for Playbook and is not a ported Android App (thank god for that). I have emailed the developer, and they responded within the hour saying that an update with bug fixes has just gone through approval and should be available soon. It costs 4.50 euro in Europe (Ireland). I am not sure how much in other territories. We Playbook users are now inches away from a working Skype chat App (albeit without Video). Enjoy!

I made a very similar comment in regards BBM for the PlayBook.
If BlackBerry just updated the Android runtime on the PlayBook to Jelly Bean it would mean that the Android version of Skype could be side loaded or made available on BBW.
This would:
1. Remove the need to maintain a PlayBook specific version. Updates to the Android version would be applicable to PB users.
2. Allow many more android apps to be able to be run on the PlayBook.
3. Give something back to PlayBook owners who rightly feel hard done by BlackBerry over the row-back of bringing BB10 to the PB.
BUT this is a good start!!!!!!
