Quantum Colliders Free Game now available!
I am happy to announce that my new game "Quantum Colliders" is now available for both Playbook and Blackberry 10!
It should be making it into Appworld over the next 24 hours, keep an eye out for it.
The game is a physics-based particle shooter where your objective is to keep hitting a puck over towards a score end-zone (see HELP for instructions). Try to land on the 3-stars zone for max points!
You have different kinds of particle balls to shoot... some are charged (pink/green), some neutral (grey/white), some can tunnel through walls (white). Each level comes with a varied assortment of obstacles (walls) and charge fields (which bend your charged particles motion) making it increasingly difficult to aim and accurately ping your puck over to the scoring stars zone.
Game is played like Angry Birds Space... by placing finger on the launch-pad area (on left side) and while finger is still pressed you drag towards your target... this will draw an aiming line... the longer a line you draw the faster the ball shoots when you lift your finger up.
If you TAP the screen while a grey neutral ball is flying around, it will split into 2 charged particles pink and green (like a neutron splitting into electron and proton). White particle is like a neutrino and barely interacts which is why it passes through walls... use it to bail out of difficult situations. A "next ball" area shows you what is coming up next. You have as many balls as you want in this first version.
In the future...
I am working on locking levels, saving your progress and score, adding music and sound effects, and adding more particle types, effects, special features (like Worm-holes) and more!!
This game was made as part of the Marmalade SDK free Playbook offer announced back in October, and was also ported to BB10 during the last few days of the port-a-thon!
I know there are some small glitches, I am continuing to improve things. Keep in mind it is free, enjoy it and positive/constructive reviews much appreciated.
