I've tried all kinds of things and continue to have this problem.
AND, I'm getting about 11mbps download on my DIR-825 on 2.4GHz and 24mbps on 5.0GHz.
That's quite frankly ridiculous. I think the root of the problem is the wi-fi in the playbook itself.
I've got multiple wireless devices connected to my router and they all scream.
I can stream HD movies wirelessly to my PS3 so I know it ain't the router.

Are you talking about on your home network? I would think it is something that can be addressed with drivers.

i too was experiencing hanging browsers and then frequent crashes. in my case, it was due to flash and java. i keep both off until i need them (it's very easy to quickly turn them on/off) and now my browser is fast, and it never crashes.
