Poynt for PlayBook has been updated to 1.1. I don't notice the differences yet. It still has trouble locating me through GPS upon startup. I think the app starts up quicker though. Any other findings?
I dont know if its the GPS or the app. I have a compass app that finds my location to within 3 meters in a few seconds. Bing and Poynt seem to have problems still. When they do work it is alway a block or two off.
Did you have any other map gps programs opened at the time?
Ah good question. No other ones were open but I did try Map LE first but it didn't seem to pick up my location so I quit it and tried Poynt. Wonder if that was enough to get the gps moving though.

Poynt didn't want to find my location. After about five minutes of searching, I closed it and opened Bing. Bing took less than ten seconds to find it, but I'm not sure how accurate it was because I don't know the exact longitude and latitude of my home - looked close enough on the map, though. Closed Bing, opened Poynt, and BAM! it had my address correct down to the house number.
