Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm really curious. There have been ports of vbam, snes9x and other emulators, so I'm wondering what the limitations are on porting programs to the playbook?

Theoretical example: Can you port Adobe Photoshop? (note: this is not what I want, just an example) or does the program have to be open source? Or does it not have to have a setup? (ie. Just copy folders and files)

Thanks in advance for a response.

You absolutely have to have source code. Things like file system calls, interfaces, invalid functions or calls have to be re-written and adapted. The only exception to this is the small amount of android apps that work out of the box. Most everything that will work in this method has already been identified.
