The audio from Final Fantasy 6 is messed up. It doesn't play all the sounds so the music sounds wacky (I compared the sound with music on Youtube). I've tried two different versions of the emulator and the sound is still screwed up (but the battle music is different from each other).

This is definitely something a beginner COULD do, although if you're enough of a beginner then it would certainly be difficult enough to use that you may not wish to bother. All you have to do is sideload (aka plug in your PlayBook, open an application called DDPB on your computer and select the application file) the app, and then put the game files (which can be found on the internet by searching for the name of the game + "rom") into the right folder on your PlayBook. Sometimes it will need a bit more troubleshooting, but usually it's fine like this.

Finally had time to play with your port and bad things have happened! Like all my time has been taken away from me! I love the early games. I installed all the early classics Atari, Namco, Williams, etc. Watching the Playbook emulate the PS1 emulate the original games was fantastic. And it was kinda of creepy seeing the copyright dates on the main screens '79 '80 '81 '82; those games are 30+ years old and the emulation was near perfect. Did not realize the port performance would be so spectacular. Thanks so much for porting to PB. Nice editing controls on the latest as well; was really nice to be able to move the buttons.

ok so last night I decided to figure this out. I downloaded PCSX-ReARMed-PB and downloaded the SH1000 or whatever bios. Found a few games, changed the *.bin to *.BIN and even loaded an *.img game. EVERY game I tried crashes the app and closes. The *.img game (Wipeout XL) looks like it starts to load, and then crashes after 2-3min with nothing happening.
Help me?
when I load it up, I see the *.cue files but not the *.BIN files. This has me frustrated so much, I played Battlefield 3 and for my first time ever, I won a match on top of the leader board
Ok after realizing I had the wrong bios, i installed the correct one and now I'm good to go

.bin files do work! I have Tekken3.bin working fine - amazing to see - but multi-touch not working for me or I haven't figured it out yet.
Anyway took me ages to get this going (renaming bin files to BIN etc....) but this link helped me figure it out: LimeTrip: PlayStation emulator for PlayBook [PCSX-PB]
Wish I had seen that first.
hope that helps - 09-19-2012, 02:30 PM #618
analog sticks
Does anyone have onscreen analog sticks?
There's several PSX games I simply can't play with the D-pad.. so I've been looking into how to put analog sticks onscreen, but if that's already been done and I've simply missed it, I'd rather not waste my time, lol
If it hasn't been done yet.. my question is: Could someone make the PCSX-ReARMed-PB emulator like the DOSBox emulator, in that anyone can add new onscreen buttons or controls through the use of SDL-controls.xml files + .PNG's without having to recompile anything? If this has already been done, then obviously I can't read and I missed it, heh.Last edited by BennyX; 09-19-2012 at 02:38 PM.

This would be great, analog controls like in the N64 Emulator Mupen.
I would also love to see bluetooth keyboard support and a option to deactivate the onscreen controls for this case.
Well i would love to see this in all emulators
Hope someone will do this in the future. - 10-09-2012, 10:57 AM #622
