I just got this app as I was looking for a good stock manager app. Unfortunately this is not what I was hoping for, as it is basically just a ”launcher” to check a particular stock (that you must type in each and every time you open this app) with no way to remember your portfolio. Am I missing something or is this just a Yahoo Finance launcher?

It's amazing that you would offer this as a ”paid” app without any portfolio ability!
Edit: i just deleted this app and requested a refund. I very rarely write comments this bad but I just want to warn others to not waste money on a launcher! You can get the same thing by bookmarking "yahoo.finance.com" in your browser!!!!!!!Last edited by tellsells; 04-26-2011 at 08:22 PM.

Just in case anyone considers buying this app, I would suggest that you don't. See excerpt from e-mail below sent to me by the developer admitting that this app does nothing:
Dear Sir/Madam,
We are sorry to hear this. For refund's I believe you would need to contact Blackberry App World Customer Service, as they manage all transactions.
Meanwhile I am updating the app to mention this is just a Stock Tracker application which does not have any ability to store favorite stocks.
As mentioned in previous post, you can accomplish the same exact thing as this app by using your browser and bookmarking www.yahoo.finance.com. This app is useless!Last edited by tellsells; 04-28-2011 at 11:55 AM.

This is a great example of the junk available in app world. This app has no real function. It is just a mirror of a website. It doesn't even have the ability to save stock tickers, or even update the prices automatically.

Thats 1 app released today I won't use.

I guess the OP's name fits? hehe
I have a feeling with only 1 post, this was a advertising post. - 04-29-2011, 04:03 PM

Guys..I have changed the app to launch external news url's
I have modified the app name to Stock Tracker just so it's not misleading based on feedback...
Please note changes takes at least a week for approval.. - 04-29-2011, 06:26 PM #14
Now I feel better that you changed the name of the app!

Don't take this the wrong way but you should just change the name of the app to:
"This App Does Nothing Except Take You To Yahoo.Finance.Com".

I installed the app, actually kinda like it for not cluttring the entire page unlike yahoo and some other sites...
@tellsells you need to relax dude!! there are lots of worse apps on playbook..unless BB supports android we won't see quality apps for a while... - 04-29-2011, 06:58 PM #17
