I have just come across the Open Panzer, which is a HTML5 version of good old Panzer General 2 and it works fine with Playbook Browser!

I didn't spend much time testing but no issues so far. I noticed that there is probably only German campaign available but it has 27 scenarios which is enough for the beginning. The whole thing works in a browser but It appears that there are also offline packages available here (including Android APK):

And it is open source so maybe we could see something like an app for Playbook? (wishful thinking) Link for the project website:

Panzer General was released over 15 years ago and I still find it one of the best games I played. This is all about playability and enough content to provide something more than just few hours of play. There are loads of old games that would fit tablets perfectly. I wish we could see more of them ported (and I wish I could see Commandos: Behind Enemy lines on PB some day)...
