A trial would be nice like what files and folders offer.

    Hi,

This feature isn't more available in the appworld for the new application.

It's why PlayCloud is only at 0.99 and the update are free.

    Sorry,

In order to support the dev I bought the app. So far I like what I see. Looking forward for the Box support.

For the next release, I have planned thumbnails & locales (application translation)

But, I can add Box at first. It isn't an issue.

    All updates are free.

I like the app. It still needs some work, however. If you are interested in localizing it into Czech, let me know.

Indeed, as I say, the app is still young

Yes, I'm interested in your Czech help...

When I will be ready, can I send you my file text bundle to translate ?

I just purchased it. Nice app. I also would like to see box.net support before the thumbnail update.

Is this an android port or is it native.

    Hi,

I confirm you that it's a native application.

And it's why, PlayCloud is faster than Files & Folders and others...

Just bought it and it looks quite nice, seems to work well after some testing of uploading and downloading to Dropbox.
The look of the progress window when your downloading or copying files is nice and better that some other apps way of doing it.

    Looking forward to getting updates.

What's the general consensus between this and Files and Folders? Just bought the app to support the developer

Nevermind I have bought the app and tested it, here is a blog post about my finding - put it simply if the dev of Playcloud adds more services (box.net and gdocs to name a few) it could be the new king of file managers for Playbook ! !

This seems like a faster app and you cant have too many apps that do this sort of thing.
Took me a while to figure out what all the buttons do but seems like a nice well laid out app and its cheap.

It does need more cloud service support like box and sugar sync.

    Thanks

You can add a review in the appworld if you want

The progress bar will be improved later. Indeed, the PlayCloud doesn't permit know in some cases the real progress status.

You have the help section... but it's quiet soft.

    At first :
    1/ refresh
2/ create folder in the current folder
3/ rename the current folder if none selected icone in the right view ; otherwise rename the selected icone.
4/ Play or open the selected file
5/ Put the selected documents (files or directories) into the clipboard. Same stuff if none selected it's current folder.
6/ copy clipboard into an other folder (of course, change folder after put in the clipboard)
7/ move clipboard into an other folder
8/ move clipboard in trash (delete files - you can retrieve after !)

In fact, in the "single select" mode, the current select files (or directories) is shown in the status window (under the folder lists)

You can change the click behaviour on the icons from the settings menu.

Note: in the current release, you can only replace the clipboard contents. Later you can replace or add documents into the clipbaord.

    Thx,

I'm working on Box.net integration & FTP client support.

And I'd like add webdav support (to use with owncloud for exemple)

Feature request: Any chance of CIFS or SAMBA for network file access? That would be outstanding.

    PS: App looks good

    Thanks
