Apparently, the price for Monopoly has doubled from $4.99 to $9.99 in one day. What's up with that?

EDIT: See post 4, below. Apparently, when you check out, it costs $4.99. That is what PayPal charged me when I just purchased it at 7:12 Eastern.

EA had a sale on the 12th where many things they sold on their website and mobile stores were discounted.

Monopoly happened to launch during that sale.

i know it shows 9.99 but click buy and enter your password. when the confirmation popup appears, its $4.99.

Ok suppose the sale ends...

Now what will happen if a user who purchased Monopoly for $4.99 then deletes it. Now that same user wants to re-install Monopoly... upon attempting to re-install Monopoly will the user be hit with "The price of this application has changed..."?

What will happen? Will the user have to pay the difference?

Is there a FREE trial version, IMO....all aps should have a trial version to see whether its worth buying ......you even get a 15 day trial period when you buy a new phone.

that shouldnt happen. once you buy, its yours and you can only reinstall. its updates that appworld can ask for more money. think of it as game+DLC. if EA ever (which i doubt) asks for money for DLC then it'll say the price of this has changed.

ahah the game is worth 4.99. i mentioned this in the other thread but i wouldn't pay 9.99 for it.

i suggest you guys jump on the game for the cheap price before it increases.

Its worth ten bucks. It plays a lot faster than I expected, its very good overall. I bought it yesterday for 5 bucks but now that I play it, its worth more, at least as much as Dead Space.

It was more like a price error (to our advantage). The App was released recently (2 days ago or so) and the price went from $4.99 to $9.99 within 24 hours. Thankfully the PayPal system doesn't update quickly enough which resulted in most of us taking advantage Someone might be getting fired as I type...
