I've got Kingsoft Office sideloaded on my PB and I've started to receive upgrade notices giving me the option to update. Presumably selecting the option to update won't work so I keep selecting 'later'. My question is, is there any way to stop these notices from popping up?

I guess you have probably already checked for such an option in the settings of the app itself?

To be honest that was the first thing I thought of but I can't find any settings in the app itself let alone one for this issue so I'm stumped.

What version do you have and is there any possibility of using a slightly older version or a different version to avoid the notice?

I have just installed version 5.9 and there is an update tab on it that does not find a newer version when I select it. I realize that this version maybe lacks functions that you want or need, but you could check it out to see if it works for you. I think I got it from GoodEreader.

If a version works on the PlayBook, it most assuredly would work on the Passport!

If there's no setting in the app, probably something you have to live with, unfortunately.

If you use it frequently, you could keep it in an active frame.

You might be right, it might be something that I have to put up with. The version I'm using is 7.0. Out of interest I did download the update which didn't install for obvious reasons, but I converted the apk to bar and it's now on the goodreader website as version 9.6.1 if anyone wants to give it a try.
