30 PB apps from AppWorld. Not judging until next OS update and giving the developers time to tweak them.

I have not seen that the playbook has no apps. and this poll so far is proving it with most users having loaded over 20. I think alot of developers are waiting on the andriod player so they dont have to re-wright the the apps. it would be silly of them not to repackage their stuff and introduce ut into another revenew stream if it is as easy as rim says. but so far i have lots to do on this thing. both work and games

    128. I think it may be time for a purge, hehe.

EDIT: I counted the ones that I actually installed, and it came to 90. The majority of them = useless; I just like getting that little red "app update" asterisk.

I have 95 I don't use them all every day except my Egg Timer App that I love. But so far, I'm quite happy with what I have gotten for free and what I have purchased. No regrets so far.

And like the quoted person above, I really like getting a red app update icon - it gets me excited

I download most of my apps based on app threads here on crackberry, if it has good reviews from people around here, I download it and it doesn't matter if it's paid app.

So far aVNC was my first, Poynt, to try out when i can get a Sat lock. Next came LinkNote, though I haven't really explored it much yet. followed by DBase, which I am using pretty heavily right now to create a database of books in my library. Tonight I added IMT VNC.

Wish list for me: Nook books application, so I can access my Barnes & Noble book library. Skype, so I can talk to my colleagues (we use it a great deal), and use Skype connect to access the the internet using my Skype credit when I travel and am stuck at an airport without free wifi. GoToMeeting/GoToWebinar for when we set up meetings with clients. An RDP client to connect to Windows servers.

I plan to add an RPN calculator, RSS news feed app, Better GPS Mapping app hopefully with on device maps.

As you see no games. Never been about games for me.

I'm down to 56, from a high of about 75. PB App World isn't perfect, but its so much easier and faster than the regular Blackberry App World that it promotes impulse buying and experimentation. Another instance of the PB far exceeding what I'd come to expect and accept from RIM. And reinstalling is also a snap.
