my phone is a Bold9780 - & there is a button that says Text Messages that i send texts...yet there is no such button on my PlayBook?

so how do you send texts?

All PB email which you write, sent via bridge to a BB phone, are sent as text.
There is (presently) no html option.
An exception is if you 'attach' a Docs2Go (Word to Go) doc file.
Or, a 'forwarded' email in html will retain the htlm but your additional text will remain text.

If you mean sms messages, then it's not a feature possible with bridge.

There is an app called sms bridge. It will send the sms to your email and you can read it on the PB. Responding to the email sends it back as a sms from your phone. A bit crude but it works. It works great for me. App is downloaded to you phone.

If you're desperate you can always try the Phone Remote app.

I use the SMS Bridge as well. Works very well on my 9860.
