Not possible as far as ive read.
I asked the same question the other day. I really find it ridiculous that I may be haunted by 25, 30 or 100 apps that I may have tried and found inappropriate for one reason or another, for the rest of my PB's life! This is something else Rim needs to fix/tweak/repair or change.
If I remember correctly I was able to do it through my pc. I had to log into appworld and then connect my device and then able to sync/delete an application. But I can not remember 100% if that worked. It asks me to attach a device and I don't have a cable to hook up my device and check to see if that works.
RIM need to fix this asap
no they shouldnt. if you download something free and then delete it, then dev changes price you still get it free cos thats how ya started, also if ya delete a paid app then you dont have to re-purchase it cos its in the list. its been that way on phones since day 1, and its not really an issue to me
when are you going to make a theme for the playbook? :D
Then let that fall on the consumer. No one should be forced to have to have a list of apps they won't ever use again. They should at least be able to login to App World from a computer and before they permanently delete an app, it should prompt them with just the information you posted and ask them if they are sure that they want to fully remove it from My World.
Then to go a step further they should be allowed to remove PAID applications permanently from my world...
Just because you bought an app doesn't mean you want it there forever... Better hope they don't accidentally remove the wrong thing.
I will repeat _I_ do not want to see a list of 50 or 100 apps that I might have tried once and immediately "deleted" appear for eternity on _MY_ Playbook. It does not verge on stupid - it is stupid. I purchase BB apps from Mobihand and I can go to their site and log in to my account and redownload what I want. Surely, if Mobihand can provide some method - Rim can, too!
Mobihand is not actually different in this regard. The actual difference is that they do not track free applications at all...
That's not the same thing as being able to remove free applications from your account. They just never associate the two in the first place.
This can be put on the bottom of the list of things that need to get done first... If at all.
Personally, I don't try most of the free apps because I don;t want my uninstalled list to look like a dictionary.
Exactly why we should be able to remove items from the list. Even with a triple "are you really sure you want this permanently gone???" warning. I, too, have looked over the offerings but have been reluctant to wind up with a huge list of GONE items.
I have tried the Compass and while it does work without wifi (just drove somewhere with the pb), since it is in Metric units and besides that gives values in EXPONENTIAL values, it may just be gone soon, too. I mean, unless I'm rocketing into space, who needs to know I'm traveling a 1e3.4 kilometers/hour!!!
