Here are some RPG's that work well on the Playbook. I have played them all at least a little to verify that the majority of the functions work. All of these games can be downloaded and installed to your Playbook and be played offline (without Wifi).
Kings Island (works - but the save game feature is a keyboard command. Maybe someone with a BT keyboard could try to save a game and let us know if it works) Kings island.swf
Gooballs
Definitely not a RPG but my wife is seriously addicted to this game so I thought I would include it gooballs.swf
I hope you enjoy these games. If you find more RPG's (or other favourites) that are downloadable and playable offline feel free to add them to this thread.
Just use that in browser, go to downloads folder and run the SWFs. Worked for me.
I get an error when i copy and past that into my web browser something like "cant navigate to local files". and when i try to open the dowloaded file from the downloads, i get an error like "unsupported file" ... any one know what gives?

Download "file browser" it is 99 cents and makes organizing/navigating your playbook much easier. It will also open the .swf files. After you launch the game you can use the bookmark menu to save the game to your home screen, then you can tap and hold it like any app to move or delete it.
I should mention that with these games entering text requires you to exit full screen mode (double tap for full screen - swipe down from top to exit full screen).

browse to only "file:" and then choose accounts, 1000, shared, downloads etc...
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com
I downloaded the Pico Sim Date games I just can't save. It kinda sucks, as it is a sort of RPG at times.
BTW, one of my favorite flash games is Boxhead 2Play but can only be played with a Keyboard. One point on it's favor is that two people can play in one board. It's pretty fun, I'll post the swf later if I remember
Nice list thanks. Here is a website that will list all files found on any given url: File2HD.com. Click and hold the .swf and save. I've even downloaded videos this way. I've been adding bookmarks to my home screen also, opens the browser but saves from having to navigate to files.
Yes, most (but not all) of these games will let you save your progress. Some of the games will ask you to "allow local storage" before saving the game.
Just added a couple of tower defence games - GemCraft and Lord of War 2.
GemCraft says you need to use keyboard commands but I have been able to use everything without. It saves just fine as well. Same goes for Lord of War 2 - but I don't think it saves until you unlock a new map.
One more cool old school RPG added to App World: Andor's Trail
It's completely free (no ads, no in-app purchases, etc.) port of the popular game for Android platform. The main difference is that BB PB version is a bit newer: it contains some maps missing in the Android version.
The game world is still under development, so it constantly increasing.
Enjoy!
Ok so I have downloaded these games, navigated to their location, but when I click on one to play, it starts to load, makes it about half way through loading then the browser crashes. Any ideas? It does this for everyone I've downloaded.
EDIT:
never mind I'm a moron. You kinda have to have flash enabled to play them.
