I think they added support for developers to utilize wireless controllers, but I don't know if anyone has. Wish they did!

Very new in the PB world, but I did notice this for Android and iOS
iDroid Bluetooth Gaming Controller
Not sure if anyone is still listening to this thread, but it would be nice to know if it could possibly be ported to the PB some day. The important thing here is that it requires no app to run. - 01-23-2013, 01:32 PM

Right now, the APIs for using controllers are not available to developers publishing PB apps. I believe that's coming with BB10. Having said this, bluetooth mice and keyboards are (and I believe always have been) usable with the PB, and devs can add support for controlling apps/games using them. Some controllers (such as the one linked a few posts above mine) are capable of appearing as a mouse/keyboard, which in theory would mean that they could be used to control any game supporting bluetooth keyboard/mouse control. However, I don't think any games DO support that. Maybe some of the emulators that have been ported to PB (which aren't available in App World, you have to get them from sites like this one), but nothing more than that I don't think.
However, once there are official APIs for using game controllers, I feel confident that developers will begin to add support for them to their apps. As with so many other things about the PB, it seems like it's a case of waiting for BB10 to hit and see if it improves the situation. Although existing apps would have to get updates to get support for controllers, which may or may not happen for older apps.UberCurrency - Free currency conversion app for PlayBook. - 02-04-2013, 07:52 AM
