    anyone having issues with fb chat on the new fb app?

    everything works in the fb app for except chat... none of my contacts show up...

    Press the configure icon on the top right of the Facebook app and turn on Chat.

    chat is on... and yes, the web browser one works better... but just playing with the new app.

    haha figured it out... it still looks to the web browser fb chat to see if chat is turned on or not... so when i turned on the web browser chat, the fb app chat works

    Wait a minute, you did say that web browser chat worked, right? If so, how come it didn't work on the Playbook?

    i had to go into the web version of chat and turn that on (go online) in order for the fb app to pull up friends list...in addition to having chat turned on in the settings of the fb app

    you cant control online/offline between groups you have setup in fb through the app chat yet... so if you're offline on the web, you're off in the app...

    Need a different icon to distinguish the new FB for PB from the full browser version. Does anyone have a suggestion?

    Delete the one for the browser shortcut for now...you can always put it back later.
