If you're on the beta OS, search in the appworld for handster and half way down the results there is an app called AllApps. It gave me access to Email, andriod browser, Google navigation, Google maps and a few other apps. I'm not too sure how it works as the app is only 45kb in size.
It seems to give you access to what it expects to be in an android device, and/or some features built into the android player...
Things like Gallery and calculator work for me, while calendar and contacts don't. I don't see Google maps so I assume you sideloaded it... it shows all my sideloaded android apps as well as the above.
Guys, question regarding android apps running on the PB, does it open it to android's vulnerabilities? My guess is that it's sandboxed but I do not for sure since I haven't braved myself into going to Beta 2.0x
It appears that if you create (or whatever is required) and Igoogle account, you can add a map widget and it works on the pb's browser even with 1.0.8.....
