Dragon Naturally Speaking
Does anyone else want to see Dragon Naturally Speaking ported over to the playbook so you can dictate into Documents to go or control the browser by voice? If you do please go to:
Nuance - Dragon NaturallySpeaking Home Edition - Dragon NaturallySpeaking Home speech recognition software for the PC
and submit a feature request. There is a link near the bottom left. - 07-10-2011, 09:07 AM #2
What you want it to do is impossible with the current tools (other than having the browser, etc. open in-app, which I don't think you can do with anything other than the browser). I want this but will wait until I can see if the NDK can do this before I even try to convince them.

From my understanding, it is impossible for an app built using the current tools to interact with other apps. It would be impossible to open the browser and talk to it or to open word to go and dictate, but it would be possible to open a Dragon app and access the web browser through it or dictate to a document that could also be opened by documents to go. Your experience would all be within a single app, and as soon as you leave the homescreen and go to a different app, Dragon is gone.

Ah interesting I'm not sure about any of that. I was just guessing since I can dictate my emials on my BB 9700 they would be able to do it on the playbook. I'm hoping they know more then I do and will work it out. I guess I will wait and see if they figure it out.

another question:
ladies & gentlemen,
Just installed Dragon on my 9550. Installation went well and during setup, I directed it to use the left button for Dragon, as the right button is to activate voice dial. However, I now get voice dial by pressing the left or right button.
Anyone know a fix?
Thank you

Dragon Speak for PlayBook
I would use Dragon Speak for the PlayBook if BlackBerry can get it working. I work in a school along with the special education department and this app/feature would be very worthwhile for our students. Right now we are trying to use the iPad but it is not working well with it. Thanks, the sooner the better.
